Making this treat was a tradition at Grandma Marly's during the holidays. Sitting by the fireplace which housed Marly's famous kettle, we reveled in the warmth of the season. I remember munching on these colorful, crunchy kernels as the glow of the fire shone on our smiling faces. We told stories, remembered old times, and traded gifts to celebrate the spirit of the holidays.
